Internals are fine, fluval 3's are good for 2 ft'ers.Maybe dwarf puffers?Kribs?Goby's?
In the long run that tank will be too small for goldfish :/

I agree with Andy, that would be an interesting idea. another idea is to set up a species tank or something similar. i have a 20 gallon that i am setting up for celestial pearl danios, sparkling gouramis, and a small type of cory, perhaps corydoras habrosus.

thanks everyone for your ideas goin to do a bit of thinking a reaserch not goin to rush this one, i hace to aquaball internal filters( not sure wot model, trhe one with 4 baskets) are these any good for it?

depends, what is the rated lph? it needs to be atleast 2x the volume of water. but it does depend on what fish are in the tank. a two footer would be a good size for a dwarf cichlid setup. no more than 4 fish though. and make sure you have plenty of hiding spots as they can get nasty sometimes. if not them, i used to have a single rainbow crab in a 2 foot. was a great guy. full of character and really easy to care for. i wont go into them. pm me if you want info.

cheers
