I'm ttrying to sell as much stuff as I can here at home to raise around $500.00... Yes, I know, I'm a phyco, lol.. Anyhow, I'm onn pertsmart, wanting a 46 gallon Bowfront aquarium, well it's 299.99 then I have to ofcourse buy a light for it which is arouns 16.99. LOL.. then added some more stuff for the tank like the Filter, aeration, play sand, live plants, stuff to take care of the plants, all that jazz. well it all adds up. HAHA. someone who doesn't have a job thats's HIGH! :hyper: :shout:  lol.. ANYHOW, any idea how to raise any more money? or am I just a dork? lol

I would personally browse your local craigslist, I've got most of my tanks through there and often times they come with everything needed. In my area their was a 46 bowfront with lights filter and stand for $175. Hold it out, and I'm sure you wont be dissapointed. Keep saving your money and I'm sure it will pay off

www.craigslist.com and click the link for your area. im on there right now looking for a bmx bike/frame... lol

I'm always on craigslist looking for stuff. I've bought and sold all kinds of stuff on there! I've gotten a couple tanks free too! You gotta be quick though!

Definitely watch craigslist and if you have any local email lists like freecycle those are great for tanks too. Garage sales and auctions are nice and be sure to just ask around. Lots of people buy tanks and then don't learn about fishkeeping and get frustrated when their fish keep dying and just stash the tank away in the attic. I was talking about my fish a while ago and my friend's girlfriend said that she has a 120g tank(+stand and filter) that she didn't want and didn't want to clean to sell so she just gave it to me.

Look on ebay too. I just got a 3 foot tank tank with hood and lighting with 2 heaters 2 air pumps, some bogwood and an external filter worth £85! and i got the whole lot for £75!
