Anyone had much in the way of experience with workflow engines. Im talking about the traditional state driven ones, and not the Business Process Management (BPM) implementation type workflow. Needs be integrated with our product/platform. Java Server prefered, but could be a .NET interface.

If so.. who would you recommend.

Cheers

I've jsut finished writing one for one of our clients - Its a .net front end for the management of the flow and notification methods and then a very large sql server stored procedure does all the work - this runs as a Scheduled job in Sql Server every few minutes and processes any new information.

Its totally bespoke for the client so is not a bolt in function but is easy enough to do.

bah, i thought i actually could answer this then, got all excited to show off that i have got a brain.

but no.... i do BPM stuff which isn;t much good to you by the sounds of things.
