Well have just a hour ago put in 2 mature sponges into my fish in cycle tank, from a neighbour. checked his water first all all readings perfect :hyper:

Should this help the fish in cycle tank a lot or should i expect to still do 3 water changes everday?

Thanks

Zoe

Id imagine it'd help but still be strict with testing :) good luck!

Yea me hopes so.

I just so happened to speak to one of my neighbours that my little boy plays with he said oooh i got a fish tank and it been set up for a year. I was like give me your sponges or else :hyper:

Will do a water test later this evening and see if there is any difference

Zoe

Congrats! It should help alot :D

Just keep checking your water daily, and do water changes when neccicary. Good luck. :good:

Hope the wee one is alright Zoe.

The sponges should make a big difference. :good:

Mature media, excellent :)

just what the Doc ordered..essentially as long as the bacteria on the media is equal to or more than whats created by the fish, your tank is cycled. If its less you still may see a small spike, which will need monitored.
