Windows Defender

Its the second day running ive had a little box telling me that the windows defender isnt working and that i need to do something manually to it.
Im a complete dill with computer things so can anyone tell me where I find it and is it easy to sort?

I have it on my computer, but I have no idea whether or not it is doing anything haha... I never check or click on it!

Well the error i get is Application failed to initialize 0x800106ba. A problem cause Windows Security Service to to stop. To start the service, restart your computer or search the help and support on how to start a service manually.
restarting doesnt help and i cant find anything relevant in the help area.

With problems like this I'd normally download the latest version SEE HERE, save it to your hard drive somewhere you'll find it again like "My Documents". Then disconnect from t'internet, uninstall Windows defender (control panel, then add & remove programs), when uninstalled, you'll probably have to reboot. After reboot, find the file you downloaded and reinstall Windows Defender and you'll probably have to reboot again

If that doesn't work, start hitting Google with the error message
