Bought a fake hanging plant for my molly tank. It has 3 suckers and only one of them will stick!!! Thankfuly my mollies and very patient and quite enjoy a nibble on my arm as I'm trying to stick it on.

Any suggestions?

Is there any algae on the part of your tank you're trying to attach it too? You may want to give the area a good scrub (with an algae scrubber) and then try sticking the suction cups.

Diseased? They are made of rubber aren't they :S What disease affects rubber?

I've had this problem with a lot of suction clips, I end up buying new ones.

Diseased suction cups? Probably not.

I'v had suction cups not work before, usually because they're cheap. If it looks like they can be switched out and replaced with better ones, im sure any lfs would carry them.

They may be diseased but ive never heard of a disease that does that

  I think he thought the topic was about "sucker fish" ie. plecos. If you had read the OP throughly you would have seen that she is talking about the suction cups on a hanging plastic plant. Don't feel bad, I thought the same thing when first saw the topic.

ive have suckerfs not stick too and found the only cure is the lfs bought ones, you can get them with a loop thing too like a big cable tie and they work great for me. its the only thing i could use to get the heater to stay attatched to the tank even tho it came with 2 and a bracket of its own!

xXx

you have to push the air out for a vaccum. try pressing it down from one side to another.
