MMMM try feeding them flakes / pellots as there stable diet and the brine shrimp as a treat.

Make sure your flakes have not expired and also is of high quality.

I feed my fish 2 times a day and then as a treat bloodworms.

Its could be that they are stressed for some reason and dont eat.Watch them and see if the fish that gets skinny actually eat.If they do I would say they are sick.If they do not eat then they starf to death.

I would have thought the same as d3tained, feed flake food normally and brine shrimp as a treat.

I dont know if it's the same for other fish, but i've recently bought a dwarf puffer and from what i've been reading, people have been saying to feed brine shrimp only as a treat as it's like giving them sweets - they have little nutritional value.

Hi!

I have experienced exactly the same :X My conclusion made from reading posts and searching etc is that my tank may have some worms since at least whilst starting to get skinny the fish still eat- it seems some fish particularly loaches have a tendency to have worms (I have also seen traces of red poo!). Have you tried looking through the emergency forum, its good... :good: (I used a 'dog worming tablet' post for some info)

I too would agree and have flakes more regularly and shrimp/bloodworms as a treat.

If you find some good info please post it since I too would like to see it :good:

No all fish can get NTD.

It was only named NeonTetraDisease because it was 1st seen with Neon Tetras.

Sounds like worms

I agree and have treated my fish accordingly. Have you treated for worms successfully before? It seems difficult, i am trying a discus type medication  at the moment as suggested in the emergency forum post i mentioned earlier in the thread...
