I have a male guppy that has white stringy poo. He doesn't swim around much and only eats a tiny bit. I QT'd and used jungle parasite clear since I've read that stringy white poo often means an internal parasite. I also gave him a pea in case it's constipation. He still has the weird poop but seems a little more lively. It says on the bottle that you can repeat treatment after 48 hours. Should I treat again tomorrow if he still has the white stringy stuff? Could it possibly be something else? Should I add any salt to the water? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would do the second dose if its hasn't clear it up completely,. Does it say to retreat in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Yep....he still has it. It says you can do 3 treatments within 48 hours of eachother with a 25% water change. I guess I'll do all three if I still see the symptoms. He ate more than usual today which is a good thing I think. I wish fish could tell us what's wrong. lol

Ok bless him. Good Luck.

The poor little guy didn't make it. Found him this morning. I'm not having much luck with the guppies but I think they're so pretty I keep buying them anyway. Thanks :)

Bless Him. R.I.P.
Sometimes the med to late if the parasites have done alot of damage to the organs.
After you finished the worming med you are meant to then use a bacterial med.
