white spot/ich is very contagious and it may be best to treat the whole tank instead of individual fish. also turning the heat up will speed up the life cycle of the ich and they dont survive at higher temps so well, just airate the water more as the fish may not be tolerant of too high temps for too long. make sure you complete the medicine course even if it looks like its cleared up as it can soon come back....
good luck :good:

Mollies often suffer from white spot and fungal problems.

You can just treat with myxazin and/or melafix.
But it would also be good to test you ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAtes as poor water is the most common problem.

Several 20-30% water changes over the next 10-14 days will help with poor water.
However if you can test these and post the results it would help us to know better and advise you more on this subject.

i would treat the whole tank and turn the temp up to 29 this afternoon and leave it over night at 29 and then turn back down to normal temp make sure u put the treatment in frist as this will help kill the whitespot of. but u must finish the course of treatment. if they do not clear up in a week do the same process again. i have a book on fish desease's and this says white shot often drop of the fish and end up in the sand or stone at the bottom hence the problem coming back 2 or 3 times i had this in my frist mouth of fish keeping and it come back every 8 days for about 3 mouths untill i done this way of treatment. also have u had new fish in the last 10 days? if i would go to were u got the fish from and find out witch 1 they use to treat whiteshot and buy a different one, this because whiteshot can get used to 1 type of treatment so if u change it it more likey to work .
goodluck chris B-)

You need to take the fish out of the bowl and put them back in the tank. Then, if you do have whitespot, the whole tank will need to be treated. The fish will simply die in a bowl with no filter, and the infection is in the tank anyway.

But you may not have whitespot. It will help if you can post a picture of the affected fish on here, plus details of your water quality (ammonia, nitrite, etc).
