Hi, I recently bought some Silver Dollars. Tbh I seen they weren't well but I was going to buy some in a couple of weeks anyway and I thought I could save them and give them a good home (this lfs is aweful but it's at the top of my road so I pop in now an then). The fins on these were torn to pieces and I mean all, not just little bits so I upped the temp on the tank and lowered the flow rate of the filter to see if they would heal naturally. Unfortunately 2 of the 8 have died, almost instantaniously, which shows the state they were in. The rest however have all grew back their fins very well and look quite nice except for attaining white spot now. I have started treatment and it seems to be going well, they are only in with 2Hoplos 1Convict and 1Network Syno which I thought I should keep in now and treat also. Anyway I removed all the filter sponges from the filter and put them in another tank while the treatment is in, is this correct? I'm not sure whether it should just be the carbon removed u see. Thx in advance.

hi m8
just the carbon you remove as the carbon would take the meds back out of the water
