White Spot Or Not

I have a huge case of what I think is white spot however I have had 3 of my denison barbs and a clown loach die this evening. My silver sharks are looking very very poorly and them and the remaining clowns are peppered in white spots. They are rubbing against things in the tank just as they would if they had ich
I didn't think white spot normally kills the fish.
I added a denison barb and a moss ball 2 or 3 weeks ago and 2 denison's a week before that.
Any help would be well appreciated.....thank you

ich does kill fish, i have lost quit a few recently due to ich. i would start treatment if they have white spots. If your unsure of what it is then post a pic and maybe we can help more.

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.

Whitespot looks like the fish have been sprinkled in salt.
You raise temp to 30 and increase aeration in the tank, the high temp and med reduce 02 in the water.
Remove black carbon from the filter if you use it.
Read med instructiions carefully as sometimes you have to half dose with clown loaches.

Only increase temperature after you have started treating with a protozoan treatment. The higher temps speed up the lifecycle of the parasite, which means the parasites reproduce faster. Without treatment, the fish will suffer from a higher infestation of the parasite and will be even more likely to die as a result.
