i tried to do a search on here for other threads as i know it mst come up from time to time but i couldnt find anything..................

I have been offered x4 of them, they will go into my 48x15x18 community which will very soon become a 48x20x24

Can they thrive in a normal tropical tank (79F) ?

And if so, shall i get some more and make the group up to about 8 or 10, i hear they can be quite nice fish and under-rated?

Opinions........................

They are definitely an underated fish although I'm not sure why!
They will be fine kept in your tropical tank as they can tolerate a wider range of temperatures than most fish. I would up the shoal to at least 6 as they are better off in groups and they also prefer plenty of water flow.

thanks i cant promise them lots of water flow as i like to keep it down as its heavily planted just relying on light and i dont want to drive off any co2 with a fast current (does that make sense)

I can offer them a bigg(ish) tank, large shoal and very good water quality
