White Blotches On Fins

Ok so... I was looking at my silver dollars today and I noticed that one of them had a large white blotch on it's fin (it definatly isnt ick, this is like a big blotch not a little spot). I suspect it to be some sort of bacterial infection that will just do away? I was wondering if anyone could confirm my suspitions perhaps?

Is it raised or fluffy/blurry looking? If so, it might be fungus.

Could be the start of columnaris, a pic would help, columnaris is both bacterial and fungal, so a med like Pimafix (which treats both internal and external bacterial infections as well as fungal ones) would be good at treating it.
Water quality problems as often the cause of illness in fish, so you should test your tank for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates and post the stats ASAP here too .
