hi
My boyfriend and i were just sorting our fish out for the night and we have found eggs on the side of the tank. One of our twig catfish is with them. How do we know if they are fertile?? shud we just leave them on the glass or put them in a net? If we put them in a net how do we do that without damaging them?? What do we do???
We also worried other fish may eat them.
help

There are a few methods to get them into a different tank, first off a razor blade will work, gently slide under the eggs, place the razor into the baby tank, place the razor on the glass gently with the eggs facing the glass and apply very little pressure, the eggs should still be sticky and should slide right off... I'd recommend adding an airstone for water movment, and a sponge filter incase the eggs do hatch... Don't add any of the other fish though...
