Which Stocking Would You Choose?

The tank for the stocking will be a 30 gallon (114L).  The dimensions of the tank are 36" x 12" x 16" (91cm x 30cm x 41cm).  I will more or less be going for a South American/Amazonian focused tank.
 
I'm interested in what you folks think because I just cannot decide.  Larger schools will make the fish more comfortable, but I love both kinds of tetras!

I chose full school of 20 Neons along with your cool peppered cories.
 
I always think a single species shoal is much more natural and looks cooler in any tank.
Also the fact, the more the merrier really is true for any shoaling fish.

I would scratch the neons and go flame tetras.

Looks like we favor larger shoals over more variety here.  I'll probably go with the 20 cories and 20 tetras.

I just found a local, responsible neon tetra breeder.   I've got to try them again!  Last time I bought neons from my LFS, they all dropped to NTD.

DON'T TEMPT ME!!  They ARE my favorite tetras, but I really really want to try my hand at neons!  Don't tempt meeeeee!!!  When my MTS inevitably forces me to get another tank (after the one I'm planning here), it'll be for rummynoses.    I love them so much!  I already have a small shoal in one of my tanks, but I want MORE!
