Which Is The Killer In My Tank

Hey im back again seeking help this time!

I have noticed the past 3 weeks my mollies have been dying. They appear to have there eyes eaton. No other signs of death. I found one still alive with an eye missing. At first i began to think its down to them settlng but they all seem to be dying. I had 21 mollies and now i am down to just 6 now.

I currently have
7 clown loaches
7 bala sharks
3 plecos - bristlenose
15 platies
2 pink skirts - they been with me over a year and not fin nippers!
4 sword tails

I think its the clown loaches and dad thinks its the sharks. But we never seem to see them attack. We are baffled.

Clown Loaches, they do it often when they arent happy. The sharks dont have the mouths to be hape to eat the eyes off fish... they would just eat the fish whole.

What size tank is it?

My tank is 50" 240 litres. Getting a bigger one in 3 months hopefully. My clowns do swim with mollies and act like them. They seem happy and have 3 areas in tank.

If they are small...maybe... but thats a lot of monstrously big fish you are going to have there... with 14 fish that will reach 20-25cm at least and thats not counting the other fish!!

But that aside... I would still say clown loaches, many loaches do it, Chinese Tiger Loaches are the bane of my life atm.

Dang. My tanks going to look boring. Any fish worth getting which are loach safe? As the bala sharks are endangered i think i should sell them? Before they get attacked? Im airing towards a loach tank.

Bala Sharks arent endangered?

Just depends on how big a tank you are planning to get in the long run because of how big they all get!

TBH it might be worth changing tank decor and think about the loaches, do they need different hiding places or flow or food? They dont want algae wafers, they want meaty foods like high protein pellets and bloodworm, prawn and cockle... just little things you could change might make a difference!

Lol i changed it 3 weeks ago. I will change the dispaly tomorrow. Make it more fun for them! I will need a jail in there for them bad ones!
