What's The Best Light For Neon Tetras?

I've a Juwel Rekord 60 aquarium and wondered what is the best light to show off the neon tetra's colours best? I already have a black background, black substrate but the tank has a white'ish light and I don't think it does their beautiful colours justice. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try something with a purplish tinge. It doesn't have to be an aquarium one; if you go to a big lighting store, they should have examples lit up.

I agree with fluttermoth. Purple is the best color.

Look at the colour spectrum shown on the graph, get one that has both peaks in blue and red.

Thanks guys! Think I'll try a Juwel Colour Lite - they say it's supposed to enhance red and blues
