What Would You Spend £50 On?

The PFK Aqaucube and a heater. Whats wrong with having two identical tanks?

PS. Congratultions on winning 50 quid.

id buy a 10 or 15 gallon starter tank, for any fry or to use as a hospital tank.

Possibly the 3 piece plantcare set from aqua essentials, tweezers, scissors and planting aid, plus 3 or 4 tropica plants.

Funnily enough, this was the precise sum I got for my birthday and I am planning to spend it on fish. Only I have to wait for some of my fry to grow old enough to be shifted first or I won't have room (this could be a long wait). So I keep spending this money over and over in my mind. It's going to have to be fish anyway, not another tank, as the family just wouldn't stand for it.

Probably a fancy plec, that would see off just over half of it. Either a leopard frog or a blue phantom. And then a school of something or other- maybe dwarf danios (nigrofasciatus), or perhaps some merry widows and maybe a trio of heterandria formosa. Or a school of pseudomugils. Or sawbwa resplendens.

if i have to spend it on fish,i would spend it on upgrading my tanks with better live plants and decorations or buy fish food/treats that i dont usally. to be honest, i would struggle to spend £50 all on fish, there isnt anything i need at the moment so i would save untill i really needed it

Filtration upgrade!!!

...all of my filters are 2nd hand......and most I have had to fiddle with to get working.

It would be nice to go and buy a decent one (even a decent 2nd hand "nearly new" one)!

Funnily enough, I was given £50 about 6 weeks ago, by my mum, and something fishy is exactly what I *did* spend it on

About 8 weeks ago some of my imaginary (internet) friends on another forum told me about Bettas. I was absolutely charmed and intrigued and went off to read about them - and decided that I must have one. So my £50 went on a 6g tank, filter, heater, gravel, plants, bogwood, blah blah. Came to £50.05  And then I went back and got the Betta. And then I went and got obsessed - and went back a couple of weeks later and got another, bigger tank  And some books. And then I found this place and got even worse. And already am planning my *next* tank ( in my head - shhhh - don't tell the family)

That £50 has a lot to answer for

But if I got another £50 - well, it would have to go towards that next tank, wouldn't it? or maybe a filter upgrade....hmmmmm
