what the hell is this?

i was cleaing dead plants from my new tank that also has snails.. and this little guy grawled off the plant and on to the tea towel i was using... i shi* my pants!

my tank has no fish in it and has only been running 3 weeks..

latest water results where

I actually itched when I saw that- it's totally gross :S
 
Looks more like a damselfly nymph. The giveaway is the number of "tails". If you look at a damselfly nymph, it has three thread-like tails (actually, gills). Dragonfly nymphs don't. Damselfly nymphs tend to be more common in small garden ponds, whereas dragonfly nymphs tend to prefer large ponds or streams.

Either way, if it's small, let your fish eat it. Yes, they're predators, but they aren't going to do an angelfish any damage. Or maybe keep it as a pet. I've done that, and fed them bloodworms. They're very, very cool. Dragonfly nymphs get big (several inches long) so become really very impressive.
