3. Tamiya TA-02 "Troublesome"

Motor: Type 540 stock
Esc: Not yet acquired
Battery: Soon to get the old 1.6 Ah from the Baja
Radio: Not yet acquired
Steering Servo: Erm... it was one I plucked out of my spares box... i have it's twin brother though - will look. It's a ACOMS AS-12 IC (no idea what IC means but it seems to be to do with the screw positions on the sides... the IC seens to be a bit bigger though.)
No picture as yet

My old HPI Savage, I built it up over 2 years, I spent so much £££ on it I was scared to drive it

To tell the truth I dont miss it at all.

oh maaaan! that looks mint! what cc was it? top speed

Kids want one of these from santa. Any reccomendations? Not willing to spend more than £500 on it though. They'll probably end up eating it on boxing day.

i would veeery strongly reccomend the df-02 storm... very rugged, easyish to build and amazingly efficient on batteries... sounds like a banjo on fire and takes off from the line like a moggy with mustard on its nose! just watch out for the knobbles on the tyres as they tear easily! for equipment i reccomend a maveric msc22 speed controller, futaba r162je as radio and the s3003 servo... this setup combined with a carson 3500Mah battery will give a car that will run for hours, have excellent handling

and excellent power response on a nigh on impossible chassis to write off.

What??!! I just have 2. I have no clue any of the tech stuff. It's a red Toyota F-150 model and I have a green Lamborghini. More into r/c helis but only got 3 of those too.

erk! i had a walkera HM drangonfly 4 before it went belly up in a gust and crumpled the rotors and bent the shaft... kinda went back to cars after that!

I have a couple of 450's and a lot of erm, 'spares'

According to a mate of mine who is into the cars if you hit something entertainingly hard its just as, if not more expensive than heli's,

depends on the type of car really... a solidly built one would bounce... a maveric strada would literally explode into pieces.
