What type of snails would be good to use in our cory and otto fry tank as scavengers?? We don't want the fry eaten. Will Malaysian trumpet snails be any good???

Thanks :D

Yeah,
MTS should be fine in that tank theywouldn't grow large enough to eat the fry. :good:

MTS also multiply FAST and you end up with an MTS invasion.

go here for snail ideas
snail shop

i have red ramshorns, which also multiply FAST (but if you want some i'll send you some heh!)
are you prepared to pick out the babies and squish the egg sags?

If your fry tank is going to have gravel and ecorations then i wouldn't put MTS in as they can take over that tank. If them is more like a bare bottum with some fake plants then you could easily keep the under control.
:D

Or you could just add some kinda loach to the tank and keep the snails under control.

We have a sand substrate and live plants (which the otto fry normally rest on and eat algae off). Putting loaches in wouldn't be a good idea for the fry either, would it? They are all really small, just week old and some up to 2 months old.
:D
