I have a 10 gallon tank that has several guppies and a snail, and I have been wanting live plants to put in there, but Im not sure what kinds would be good in my tank. Do you have any suggestions? :)

How much light is there?

Light is the most important criteria for growing plants. Some plants will grow, albit slowly, in fairly dim tanks, others will simply die in anything less than bright light, (3.5 - 4 Watts per gallon of fluorescent lighting).

for hardy plants which do not require much light, try; anubias nana, java moss, java fern, riccia. and yes of course, plastic ones

Yes, josh was right, those are some of the easiest plant, with regards to lighting, even substrate(because of the fact that those dont need to be rooted).

Also, if you can get your hands on a java fern "windelov"(sp?), your very lucky, since its one of the most attratctive plant, and just because of the appearacne, donts mean its easy. In fact, nothing changed from the orginal java fern, other than size and appearance. It's still hardy!
