I found this while in Yellowstone National Park in the US, on the shore of Lake Yellowstone. I was wondering if it was some sort of fish egg or algae clumped onto the piece of gravel. I am also wondering why some seem indented.

Hello again. These eggs are clear. So, they haven't been fertilized . Viable or fertilized eggs will be opaque and a grey color. Don't quote me on that, but that's what I think.

No idea if these are eggs of a certain kind of fish. Does anyone know...?
