What is this on my plants?

I’ve had hydra before, and it doesn’t look like that - this is more cottony in appearance.
I have form for killing plants - I don’t think they get enough light - but not does this look like decay; it looks like it has definitely ‘landed’.
These pale, pert little things are starting to appear on all of my plants in a 2 week old tank.
Is it as simple as algae?

Hello. Looks like the beginning of hair algae. Nothing to worry about. There's not a better natural water filter.
