CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS FISH PLEASE. sTRIPEY GOLD AND BLACK, ABOUT 6 INCHES IN LENGTH.

Also very aggressive and will nip at the fins of tankmates relentlessly, not a community fish by any standards.
 
Defo Leporinus Affinis, as said above the fish can be very fin nippy and chase fish around alot....

They are defo need to be with large fish like Barbs, african cichlids.


Also they can grow fast Mine grew from 3cm to 20cm in around 6 months.
 
hope you have big mean tank mates for that little bumble bee #######....

i got one for free and i got rid of it right away.
 
Thank you all very much for your replies, he lives very happily with my 3 pictus catfish (they stand up for themselves very well), 1 leaf fish, 2 paradise fish, a rainbow fish, a couple of clown loaches and a plec. I have had it since a baby and it is now almost fully grown. just wasn't sure what he was and how big he would get. Good job i have an extremely large tank eh!
