The MTS in my tank is out of control. I have a few assassin snails that I added 3 months ago and they seem to have taken care of the pest snails but not the MTS. I also have several mystery snails in the tank.

I know you can put some kind of vegetable in over night but I can't remember what kind. Is there any other trap that I can use.

This is just a small sample

You can put in a cucumber- cut in half and weighted down with a fork stuck in it, or a blanched courgette.

I've used pieces of cucumber in the past it seems to work pretty good. I would add it just after lights out and then remove it in the morning so it doesn't have a ton of time to decompose.

Am not particularly surprised that the assassins are going for the other pest snails and not the MTS, as MTS are more difficult for assassins to overcome and eat.

There are a few snail traps you can get, they can be found online or you can make a diy one using simply a plasic box with holes or a inverted bottle with bottle neck turn into the body of bottle, though small fish and shrimps can get caught in that also.

Or as simply said already, using lettuce leafs or a slice of cucumber and leaving overnight will get a bunch of snails on it and thus removing in the morning and disposing of, repeat as neccessary.
