Just as the title says... What would happen if the heater had moisture inside it, pressure started to build up causing the heater to burst???
I emailed the company and they said not to use it as it was prone to building up pressure and exploding or something... If that happened, would that electrify the fish and everything inside the tank? I'm sure it would do that but to what extent?

Thanks all! :)

Hold on what now? Anyways one of my old heaters literally exploded. It was still on and it was in my breeding angelfish's tank. thankfully it must have had some automatic shutoff device within it that tells it to cut power if part of it gets wet.

Apparently mine is supposed to have that automatic shut off thing aswell, but you can see the water/moisture inside the actual tube. I have no idea whether it is literally going to go within the next couple of days, but it has worsened while i was away on holidays... I am thinking of replacing it today. I'll post a picture to show what it is actually doing.

no i know it would kill them instantly, but like what about the filter? I am definetly replacing it today! I really don't want fried fish today

If a heater has water in it then it is cracked and most likely isn't heating anymore anyway Most of them won't work once cracked.
