Hi. For the past month or so, my fish have had parasites. I put up my temp to 90F, which killed the external parasites (ich.) almost instantly, but the internal parasites are still hanging around. I have treated with Jungle Parasite Clear 3 times already, (Once every second day, a 25% water change in between.) and the internals' are still there, no matter what I do. So, I have decided to try a new attack at this never-ending parasite. I'm going to try a medicated food. Jungle Labs medicated food looks good, but has anyone used it before? I don't know what effect it will cause on my fish. This is what it looks like:

(Click on more details for.... more details!)

By the way, I have platies, guppies, mollies, swordtails and corys in the 20 gallon that I'm treating. They are all pooping out white and clear long, stringy stuff, and one platy has clamped fins. (Which MAY be an external parasite, but I am still treating that, so it's okay.)

Really though, has anybody used the product I mentioned above? I am seriously giving up here, so I need a solution.

Thanks in advance for any help! :good:

Would I have to use the anit-bacterial one as well?

You have to back up with a bacterial med aswell.

The med also treats bacterial infections which internal parasites cause.
What I meant is the med treats for bacterial infections aswell as internal parasites.

Oh. So technically the parasite med treats bacteria infections as well? Sorry, I'm so slow! (I'm just learning!)

If the pellets treat all those symtoms it a internal wormer and bacterial med.

Those are 2 different meds. What I'm saying is, should I get the anti-bacteria AND the anti-parasite food?

Sorry.
With all of the writing in the same paragraph I though it was all the same med.

Once you finished wormer back up with internal bacteria med.

Ok. Is that because the anti-bacteria med treats the opened wounds on the fish? It says that it's best used on ornamental pond fish, but can I still use the anti-bacteria med on my guppies, platies, mollies, swordtails and corys? And what happens if I DON'T use the anti-bacterial med? Will the parasites come back? Because I don't know if I'll be able to get that or not.... I'm in a really tight situation with these meds. I don't live anywhere near where they sell them, so I need somebody to get them for me, which will, very unfortunately, take a couple of weeks minimum.
We'll see how long my fish can last before all of them stop eating.... :(

You can use pond med it's just the dosing that different.

Once fish are really skinny and bent the damage has been done. Best of put the fish out of its misery.
You just treat the tank to save the rest of the fish.
Internal parasites do alot of damage to the organs and cause bacterial infections. That why you back up with a bacterial med.

Ok.... I see now.... Should I get the bacteria med if I absolutely need to? I will TRY my best to get the anti-bacterial med, but I really can't garantee anything.... Wow... this really sucks... :( :-( :(

So if I don't use this bacterial med, will the fish die anyways from a bacterial infection?

Thanks so much for all the help so far, Wilder. I really appreciate it! ^_^

(Man, am I stunned! :S )

If the worming med dosn't treat bacterial infections I would back up with a bacterial med after you finished the worming course.
