:) hi, i have been pondering over this for a while now so i thought i would ask the experts. I am soon going to get a 60x30x30cm tank (24x12x12inches) not sure exact volume but isnt it about 12 uk gallon?
anyway, 3 types of fish have caught my eye over my research: harlequin rasboras, corydoras catfish, and kuhli loaches, so how about this (?????):
5 harlequin rasboras
3 julii corydoras
2/3 (what do you think) kuhli loaches.
Any help appreciated. :)

EDIT: i know in the title it says 'my tank' but i havent actually got the tank yet

5 Harlequin Rasboras, and 3 Julii Cories sound great, you could also add a Dwarf Gourami and a few other small little fish!

Not sure about the kuhili loaches though.

Corys and harlequins are lovely fish, corys are so entertaining, and so are harlequins, good choice.

thanks, :) are the kuhlis not suitable then?

Yes, but with having corys which are bottom dwellers i don't think you need them.
Leave more room for middle to top dwelling fish.

I may not need them but i think they are soo cute

Should be fine then, as it is up to you.

yeah, i know its up to me, i was just checking, thanks for you help Wilder and Qays :)

Hey, why dont you go with 6 Harlequins, 3 cories, and a school of some small tetras.

I like tetras and harlequins as they are active and add alot of movement too the tank. Cories are great!! Never seen kuhilis. but they look nice!

I like the original suggestion of harlequins, corys and huulies. Ok, so it will mean that the top and middle may seem a bit empty, but some people have corydoras-tanks only. I don't see it as getting overcrowded to the point of causing conflict, so it's mainly an aesthetic question. And I'm a great khuulie fan. But I'd go for at least 3 and provide plenty of hidey holes to give them confidence.
