what bulbs for 48" shop lights?

I am in the process of building a homemade canopy for a 40 long tank, and planned on using standard shop light fixtures for it. Any suggestions on bulbs? I looked at my LFS and for 6500K bulbs they want almost 30 dollars each, which for that price I could go to a CF setup like my other tank has.

Any ideas on brands or model of bulbs that will fit my needs that can be purchased at a place like Home Depot or Lowes?

you can try using "natural sunshine" bulbs by philipps, they go for about 7 bucks a bulb. Only downside is that they don't emit true full spectrum and your plants won't grow as well, it's been proven

I have been having good luck with the Daylight Max at 6500K. They go for around $7.00 a two pack.
