What are some small cichlids

I was wondering if anyone could help me out here i am trying to find a type of small cichlid but one that isn't overly expensive it is for a gift and i don't wanna buy something they won't take care of thanks any help is appreciated

I don't know the prices of these fish but apistogrammas, kribensis and ramirezi are all dwarfs.

If u are buying the fish as a gift forsomeone then make sure that they do want that fish, and have space in their tank for that fish before buying it!

I would suggest one of the apistogramma species, agassizi maybe
