What Are Defects?

I've seen fish sellers putting up their fishes and they put something like "no defects". What are defects? Are they like broken fins, scales etc.?

Yes - From broken fins to internal problems. I think thats it anyway lol

I think it might be from interbreeding, so the fishes brothers and sisters breed

defects is like another word for problems. meaning that the fish with no defects is perfectly healthy
