What About Greenfly As Fishfood?

Does anyone have any thoughts about using greenfly from the garden as food for aquarium fish? I suppose it could depend on what the greenfly came off...

I wouldn't if you use chemicals on your plants.

i've fed surface dwellers various flies before - usuallu fruit flies - but greenfly and blackfly too. If the fish are used to taking live food from the surface they gobble them down. If not they don't always notice them.

But yes, I don't use any insecticides in my garden, and neither do my neighbours
