Well lost all 6 neons 2 bleeding hearts and know i think my gourami and silver dollor is going.. I did everything right and it did not work aut.. My siler dollor might even go to Ithink every fish is going.. Well This sucks and i lost my apperence of getting a new tank..

i know how u feel had it happen to me a few months back. lost 4 cardinal tetras 1 saimese fighter and 3 mollys and was also put of the idea of keeping fish but as life is you live and learn the art of it is to catch it in the early stages adn treat it asap like i did after i have re-stocked my tank from another fish store which i will carry on using from now on....but dont let this bad experience diss hearten you from keeping fish again.

Id say that a 10Gall with all those fish it was going to happen eventually. Ich can be brough on by stress and that tank is way over stocked and rather poorly stocked at that.

Next time you come across a ick problem I would suggest raising your tank temp to 85 this will make the parasites relese from the fish and become free swimming which then will make the meds more effective..The parasite becomes free swimming due to the fact they are heat sinsitive. :good:

Those fish were in there for 8 months.. This is my first tank.. AND I raised the temp to 82f. I did not really use my intrest. I wanna start a chichlid tank.. BUt not for awhile.. Till i get a job... Summer is coming so i will put the fish on the side for know.

And gourami is now gone.. I wish i treated it When it first happend But i did not reconize it from 1 more day ago..

what type of meds did you use and if any did you do else to try to fix the problem?
Ok i used super ick cure or something like that.. Its in a little squird bottle. Raised the temp to 82 f, did 25% water changes every 48 hours and used aquarium salt after water changes an only after the changes.

Some fish can't tolerate the full dose of a parasite med, did you increase aeration in the tank.
