Wats Wrong With My Platy?

i have 2 red tuxedo platys one male and one female. today i noticed there is a white string coming out of the platy. it keeps growing. the platy is pregnant, is it normal for this to happen?

i think she might be giving birth but she has been like that for the whole day. she looks really stressed and the other fish are near her, proberly trying to eat the fry.
