ive recently had whitespot in my tank, but thats been cured now and everything back to normal now! but when i was using the treatment (protozin) it turned my water a amazing blue, and really set off my tank!

now i was wondering if any1 knows anything similar i could use or put into my tank to give me a similar effect all ov the time?

Methylene blue does the same.
A blue light.

food coloring...total shot in the dark. It could easily kill all your fish please don't try it...

Methylene blue

^^^ LOOKED THAT UP AND U AINT SUPPOSSED TO USE THAT MUCH, JUST IF HAVE FUNGAL DIEASES etc etc!!!!!!!

AND WHY POST SOMETHING STUPID LIKE FOOD DYE!!!!! ID RATHER U NEVER REPLYED

Just stating that methylene blue sends the water blue.
Only thing you can do is add a blue light if you like the blue effect of a tank.

I agree, But lets not get flammy.
Id say a couple blue LED lights and some shinny things, such as mirrors spoons, tin foil, Chrome car bumper (jk btw)

sometimes I open my mouth and say what I think without thinking about whether it will make the situation better... let me try again.

Look into moonlighting fubarmick. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the appearance. You could also put a blacklight on your tank. I believe it causes cancer or something but only after long exposure. Just cutting it on to look at the fish under a blacklight shouldn't hurt. Other things you might try include a blue background with blue gravel. I'm not sure if this is available to you but I know I have seen colored cellophane. You could try putting blue cellophane on the glass that might give the effect your looking for. If you don't know what cellophane is it is also called plastic wrap (A plastic film which uses static cling to attach itself to surfaces) Another option concerning the cellophant is to put it on top of the glass slot that your light sits on. That way the light would shine through the cellophane giving it a blue color. As to actually turning your water blue I don't think it's a good idea to try. If you really want to try though then I suggest you contact the manufacturer of whatever colorant you decide to use and talk to them about what your trying to do before you do it.
