Water Conditioner Mixing

I mixed two different brands of water conditioner, Tetra Aqua Safe and Jungle Start Right water conditioners, and the mixture smells really bad, like a sewage lift station, or that sulfur smell that people get in shallow pump water. I don't know if it is safe for the fish or not...

hmm... I don't recall either of those having a smell on their own. (Prime stinks, but it's supposed to!) If they're only smelling when you mix them it must be some sort of chemical reaction. I don't think I'd put it in the tank.

Why do you mix two?. Tetra Aquasafe is perfectly good on its own.

Well, actually the Aquasafe was in a sample packet that came with the tank, and it needed a bottle to go in so..... i mixed them! I guess it was a bad idea That smell is horrible.
