Alright, so ive been reading into water chemistry alot lately because I figured it would be good to learn more about it but it turns out its alot more complicated then I ever could have imagined and I have alot of questions for you guys, so get ready...
Question#1: Whats the relation between pH and hardness, I hear that they go hand in hand. Example: acidic water is always soft and Alkaline is always hard, but is this ALWAYS the case?
Question#2: What is the difference between general hardness and carbonate hardness (I think it's called carbonate anyway)?
Question#3: How can you SAFLEY and NATURALLY change the pH or hardness of your tank if you need to?
Question#4: Can you change the pH without changing the hardness or vice versa?
Question#5: What is the deal with ammonia and nitrates?
Question#6: Dose salt make that mutch of a differnce in the aquarium?
Whew... I think thats it for now, if its to many questions for you guys to answer I will understand but I think this post could help alot of other people to, thanks in advance guys
