Water Changes

How often should I do a water change? I have been trying to read up as much as I can about fish keeping but a lot of the books either don't mention changing the water or say either once a day or once a week.

For a lightly stocked tank such as yours, 10 - 15% once a week should be great.

The majority of books I've read are high out-of-date and omit many crucial details. I'd always go by information I found on the good fish groups on the Internet as that is where the latest and best information is found.

The most important factor is your filtration system.

It doesn't matter how many fish are in a certain size tank as it does if you have filtration that can handle the bioload and if so, for how long.
