I will try to get better pics. But I just added 10 Platy and 1 Clown Pleco. Adding a few more fish tomorrow.

6 of the Platy in 3 pairs of two were in the large tank with the clown pleco, and the other 4 Platy in the smaller tank.

They have used the water bridge between tanks as when I came home some of the pairs have split up, funny thing is still 4 in the small tank and 6 in the large. I caught one Orange Platy crossing over, not the best pic so I will get better ones as soon as i catch them crossing over.

I also have midnight platy fry zipping arond already!!! Too fast to catch, so far lot of room to hide.

Kitty also discovered the fish...lol

The thread that shows the project progress from start to finish can be found in the Do It Yourself section.

Water Bridge Project

There are a few more pictures there of the setup. I will add some photos in a second of the Danio using the bridge.

How did u get the water to successful stay in the bridge?

Take a cup and sumberge it under water, pull the cup out bottom up. The water stays inside the glass until the edge of the cup breaks the water surface, then the water rushes out.

This is the same principle, the Bridge is an upside down U with with both ends under water. Once air is sucked out via a hose the water fills the bridge and remains in there since neither end of the bridge is above the water surface.

If enough water evaporates such that the level of the tank falls below the ends of the bridge, then the water bridge fails and water rushes out. Otherwise it stays in the bridge.

If you suck water out of one tank and deposit it into another tank, then this forces water through the bridge such that the water level remains the same in both tanks. Its called a syphon. By using one filter to draw water out of one tank, I am forcing a flow of water through the bridge.

Well most of the fish all but one are in the big tank. Poor Daddy Midnight fish. Mommy Midnight did swim back for the night, but not sure if she will this time.
