I have seen some of these fish at Maidenhead Aquatics, they are quite small and didn't look much like Cardinal Tetras , i was wondering the type of water they preferred and how large they grow. Also what's the Latin name please. :D

possibly Tanichthys micagemmae
a close cousin of the WCMM.
water conditions should be the same as for WCMMs and you won't go far wrong.

I searched google and it came up with 0 results as an exact phrase. Try getting a pic; someone should be able to identify them.

Thanks Wolf, yes i think they are the same fish that i saw, i might get some in a few days when my cycle has finished. They had two tanks full of them, so i expect there will be some left!

Thanks xJake , i think Wolf has hit the nail on the head, looked very similar to the name he suggested.

What a silly name, there are no Characins (tetras) in Asia so the name is extreemly misleading.

Poor show from MA there, i expect dodgy backstreet fish stores to invent silly common names but i would have expected better from MA as they are meant to be the market leaders in the UK.

How far is Southampton - I WANT SOME
