Vacuuming Fine Substrate With Fry

I have a small 24 liter tank set up with a couple of breeding Kribs, the substrate isn't sand but very fine grit type stuff, when I do a water change it moves about a lot, but if and when the fry arrive, how do you do a substrate vac, or do you leave it till they get bigger, I'm worried about sucking them up?

well you can still clean it, but move slowly so that they have time to move... and when you are finished take a light to the bucket.. after letting it sit for a bit to let everything settle and look to see if you got some by accident
