Uv Sterilizer

I just got a 9V Turbo-Twist UV Sterilizer. Do I need a canister filter for this? Because I don't have one! O_O The instructions say to connect it to one. Help?

im not familer with this brand but if it says to hook it up to one then i would say that you need one. if it doesnt have a built in pump then yes you need to use a canister filter

You can run it off a power head (water pump). I have the same sterilizer and used a power head. That way, you have the option of running it on different tanks if you need to.
