Ummmm i wonder

i went to the london aquarium today and in the freshwater tanks they had a mossy algae growing up from the sand and the fish loved it and it looked stunning and i wondered how i could grow it i my tank, is it a plant that i hav to buy?

it is either going to be good such as pigmy chain sword or java moss or bad such as hair algae although i doubt it will be the later.

I've never been there, but people tell me it is a class place - so I doubt it was algae. Another plant possibility is Riccia fluitans - CrystalWort. For years this was grown as a floating plant but is currently very much in vogue as a plant bound to stones/roots etc., can look stunning - needs good lighting though.
