Two Fliters On Tank

i have a 10 gal tank with two external filters equpited to it i have 7 fish including 1 placo. is this safe or ok to do?

I have 2 female betas,2 bamboo shrip, 3 tetras and thats it

In my opinion with the 2 filters and if you keep up on water changes you should be ok but this my opinion some may say your pushing the limits which you probably are but u got upper hand with 2 filters. Also for a 10 gal tank i wouldnt personnely have a pleco for that small of a tank. O and watch your bettas and tetras I tried that once and the tetras didnt last long at all b4 the bettas killed them.

Thank you very much! The betas and tetras have gotta along fine in the tank for about 3 years now its a very healthy tank! I have one more question for you its a little off topic but im curious. At the bottom of my tank under the rocks is brown stuff im pretty sure its algae ill post a pic if you would like me to. Its been in there for as long as i can rember and the fish are all fine ive added one fish about a week ago and that was the third phantom tetra and she had no problem. Just wonder if you have any ideas.

most likely algae but if you want to take the extra measure u can clean it out im supprised ur pleco hasnt though.

Ok so its ok for it to be there? and its under about a inch of rocks so it would be hard for him to get to it!

i am pretty sure its just algae.. When the last time u took the gravel vaccumm to your tank cause if you kep up on your water changes when u use ur vaccumm it should bring the gravel from bottom to top and then the pleco will get it.

noo i have a very old vaccume so most of the time the water gets changed and not rocks ill have to pick up a new one got any suggestions?

just a normal vaccumm will work u dont need nothing fancy like a python unless thats what u want.
