Hi.
I had an Ick problem a few weeks ago and I treated with Coppersafe for 3 weeks and seem to disappear.
About a week ago I changed my tank from 10 Gal to 29Gal in preparation for my pregnant platy's fry (popped 3 days ago).
Two days ago I noticed some Ick again on 2 Red Dwarf Platy's and realize I forgot to add Coppersafe in a last couple days.
So I currently have:
3 sunset platy, 1 pregnant (no Ick, they didn't get Ick before either)
2 Red dwarf Platy, 1 of them gave birth 3 days ago (both have Ick)
1 Raphael Catfish
14 Red Dwarf Platy Fry.
My new tank is only 3/4 full; I used the gravel and water from my 10Gal and gradually adding water every day, also using my old filter alongside new one.
Using good test kit my water quality: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 10, PH 7.8 and Temp is 78F.
I do partial water changes every 3-4 days and also adding some more water to fill the tank.
I previously treated water with CopperSafe and used Maracyn-Two to prevent secondary infections.
This is my first fry and i would like them to live.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
