Well, I just purchased a Triops kit but before I hatch them, I have a few questions.
1. Would the eggs still hatch if there was already sand in the tank and I put the eggs in or should I put the sand in some other time after the Triops hatch and they are older?
2. Is a 4L tank good enough to start off? I will get a bigger one later but I am just wondering if that is big enough to hatch them and grow them for a while.
3. If I get an undergravel filter, will they suck in the eggs that the Triops have laid in the substrate?
4. If the temperature ever drops, how long will it take for them to die? And I only mean a slight drop such as 2-5 Degrees under minimum temperature.
5. Lastly, do you think that it's okay to start off the a plastic tank? And I don't mean a hard plastic tank, the one that came with the kit is one of those flimsy kinds that crack very easily.
