Hi guys, i have just bought my first house so i am moving out soon. want to transport my tank from my parents to my NEW house!! So exciting

Whats the best way to go about doing it?
I only have 7 fish at the moment.

The trip is about 15-20mins drive so not too bad. What would anyone recommend?

Thank you

Hi. Congrats on the new house... that is very exciting! You're lucky that you're only 15-20 minutes away; that will make the move easier on you and the fish. My fish have been transported around before on several occasions (as i got into the hobby from a friend who was getting out of it). They've been on an airplane in the cabin for a few hours, and been in the car for a 3-3.5 hour drive. Basically they were just put in clear plastic bags that you get from the fish store, making sure there is more air in the bag than water. After that, just put all the bags into a styrofoam cooler or some sort of box, and try not to let the water get too cold or hot. They should be fine really. Just try to get them back into the aquarium as soon as you can. Good luck with the move.
