Too High?

Does $53.00 for shipping seem high for 9 fish, 3 live plants, and a couple dry items?

It depends where they are coming from. From the east coast to Missouri it might be a little steep, from the west cost it's probably on the cheaper end.

To me, it depends on what type of fish, what type of plants and what the garuntee is...

That does seem a little steep. should be closer to $40. Next day or same day air on the fish is what is costing you. I had to look back in my records, 8 angels shipped from upstate NY to Chicago cost me $33 last March. A large box of discus from Cali cost $78 last February. See if they are shipping the plants & dry goods priority, that will jack the shipping, and is not needed.
