This May Be A Stupid Question But....

The do generally regrow - though very often not to the same "as new" condition as before and there will oten be some scarring evident.
 
i would compare it to a lizards tail (the tail losing variety).

It loses it's tail, but it grows back. But none are EVER as beautiful as the first. nothing will every compare to that first one.
 
Funny, my guppies used to fight with eachother :crazy: , and their fins would occasionally grow back bigger and more colourful than before.
 
Yeah, I have a female betta who has been bred twice and lost some finnage both times, but she always regrows it and is still show quality. It just depends on the individual fish and the individual injury.
